Diets are Fattening

Does the thought of one more diet make you hungry?  Do you feel as though you have tried every weight loss plan known to man/woman?  Have you gone through the agony of starving pounds off of yourself only to watch in horror as they all come back on board, with a little extra for good measure?

It's time to stop the insanity - the deprivation, the self-hatred, the stress, the depression which ends up leading to feelings of hopelessness and despair.

I can help you.  I understand what you have gone through and I know how discouraged you are.  I can help you see that there's nothing wrong with you.  You have demonstrated will-power by starving yourself and losing weight, but our bodies and brains can't tolerate starvation for the long haul.  I can help you see that there is a better, kinder way to deal with this issue.  I will teach you the art of Mindful Eating.  It consists of a process where you learn to slow down your racing, panic-laden negative thoughts.  You gently begin to notice the habitual irrational thoughts you take seriously.  These irrational thoughts cause your mood to plummet and, before you know it, you find yourself trying to medicate away your hopeless bad mood with the very culprit you're trying to eliminate: food!  As you calmly observe this behavior from a mindful stance, you begin to see the possibilities for healthy change.  As you learn to savor your food as a connoisseur rather than gulp it like a glutton, you begin to experience satisfaction with much smaller amounts of food.  This naturally leads to the healthy size and weight you can happily live with.

Come join me in this life-altering adventure of Mindfulness Based-Eating Awareness Training.

You will learn:

  • How to calm yourself

  • How to gracefully get out of your own way so that your moods don't ruin your life

  • How to safely and sanely lose excess weight

  • How to maintain your healthy weight

  • How to relate to those you care about in a more mindful, loving way

  • How to actually see and enjoy all the things that are going "right" in your life

  • And, ultimately, once you have learned how to detach from your food/body/weight obsession, how to create a life worth living.

If you are interested, please contact me so that we can begin to work together.  We can meet on an individual basis or you can join a group (after meeting with me for 1 individual session) with other women who have the same feelings and issues.

I look forward to hearing from you.
